How to Create Amazon A+ Content in Google Sheets

Build, submit and manage Amazon A+ Content from Google Sheets — define modules in a sheet, load images from Drive, publish, and assign ASINs in bulk.

Amazon A+ Content (formerly Enhanced Brand Content / EBC) lets brand-registered sellers add rich media — images, comparison charts and formatted text — to their product detail pages. Well-designed A+ Content can increase conversion rates by 3–10%.

The problem? Seller Central's A+ editor is slow and tedious, especially when you create or update content across dozens of ASINs. There's no way to bulk-create modules or reuse templates efficiently.

SellerSheet handles the whole A+ Content workflow from Google Sheets. Define your content modules in a spreadsheet, load images from Google Drive, submit to Amazon and manage ASIN assignments — all from the sidebar. This guide covers the three sheets of the SellerSheet A+ spreadsheet — Create A+, List A+ and Manage A+ ASINs — in four steps:

  1. Create A+ — define modules and content.
  2. Submit — load images and publish.
  3. Manage ASINs — assign and revise ASINs.
  4. List A+ — review and track status.

Prerequisites

  • Store connected: your Amazon store is connected under Settings → Stores & Marketplaces in the SellerSheet app.
  • Sidebar installed: the SellerSheet add-on is installed in Google Sheets. If not, follow Install & first sync.
  • Brand Registry: your Amazon Seller Central account must be enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry to access A+ Content.
  • Product images: prepare your A+ images in a Google Drive folder. Images must meet Amazon's requirements (minimum 970 px wide for most modules).

The Create A+ sheet

In Seller Central, building A+ Content means dragging and dropping modules one at a time, uploading images individually and typing text into tiny input boxes. There's no way to create templates, duplicate content across ASINs or bulk-edit modules.

The Create A+ sheet is where you define your A+ Content. It has two parts: a config row (row 4, labelled in row 3) for the document settings, and a modules area (row 6 down) where you define each content module.

Config settings (row 4)

The config row holds the settings of the whole A+ document:

  • Store: your store ref (e.g. myStore-AE).
  • Locale: the language/marketplace locale (e.g. en_AE).
  • A+ Name: a descriptive name for this A+ content (e.g. "My Brand Story").
  • Content Type: EBC for standard A+ Content.
  • Image Folder: the subfolder of your SellerSheet images folder in Google Drive where this content's images are stored (e.g. SKU-001). Optional.
  • Content Document: the document as JSON — filled when you load an existing document.
  • ASINs: the ASINs to apply this A+ content to.
  • Content Reference Key: Amazon's unique identifier for this A+ content — auto-filled after submission, or typed in to load an existing document.
  • ASIN Submit Result / Aplus Submit Result: the status of the ASIN association and of the A+ content submission, auto-filled.

Content modules (row 6 down)

Each row from row 6 down defines one A+ content module. Pick the module type in the first column, then click Load Hints: the Example column shows Amazon's sample of that module, and the row's cells are coloured green (required), yellow (optional) or gray (unused). The columns map directly to Amazon's A+ Content API:

  • Content Module Type: the Amazon module type (e.g. STANDARD_COMPANY_LOGO, STANDARD_IMAGE_TEXT_OVERLAY, STANDARD_FOUR_IMAGE_TEXT).
  • Headline / Sub Headline / Body Text / Bullet Points: the module's text.
  • Image 1–4 with their Alt, Caption, Headline and Body columns: the module's images — the image file name, loaded from Google Drive with Load Images (Drive) — and their text. Alt text is required for accessibility.
  • Overlay Color / Image Position: layout options for the modules that take them.

Important: module types

Each module type has its own image dimension requirements. Check Amazon's A+ Content guidelines for the supported module types and their image specifications.

Submitting A+ Content

Once your modules are defined, use the sidebar buttons in the Create A+ dropdown to load images and submit.

1. Load Images (Drive)

Click Load Images (Drive) in the sidebar. SellerSheet reads the Image Folder value from the config row, finds that folder in your Google Drive and fills in the image URLs of every image named in the module rows.

Pro tip: image organization

Create a folder in Google Drive for each A+ content set, named after the SKU or product line, and put all module images inside. The image cells only need the file name (e.g. hero-banner.jpg) — SellerSheet finds it in the specified folder.

2. Create & Submit

Click Create & Submit in the sidebar. SellerSheet:

  1. Reads all content modules from the sheet (or the Content Document JSON, if present).
  2. Creates a new A+ Content document through the Amazon SP-API — Amazon-hosted images are reused directly, Drive and other image URLs are uploaded.
  3. Applies the ASINs from the config row and submits the content for approval.
  4. Fills in the Content Reference Key, ASIN Submit Result and Aplus Submit Result.

To change a document you already published, put its key in Content Reference Key and click Load A+: its modules land in the rows, its JSON in Content Document and its ASINs in ASINs. Edit it, then click Update A+ to replace the existing document and resubmit it for approval — or change the name or store and click Create & Submit to publish a copy.

The List A+ sheet

The List A+ sheet gives you an overview of all your existing A+ Content for a store. Set the store in the config row, then click List A+ in the sidebar; details fill 25 rows per click.

List A+ columns

  • A+ Name: the name you gave when creating the content.
  • Status: current approval status (e.g. APPROVED, DRAFT, REJECTED).
  • Update Time: last modification timestamp.
  • Badge Set: any badges associated with the content.
  • Marketplace ID: the Amazon marketplace identifier.
  • Content Reference Key: Amazon's unique identifier — use it to manage the ASINs of this content.
  • Content Document: the full content document data.
  • ASINs: ASINs currently associated with this A+ content.

Pro tip: copy an existing document

Click a result row and then Load A+ in the List A+ dropdown: that document loads into the Create A+ sheet as an editable copy. Or copy its Content Reference Key into the Manage A+ ASINs sheet to change its ASINs.

Managing A+ ASINs

In Seller Central, associating A+ Content with ASINs means opening each content, searching for ASINs one by one and applying them individually. Applying the same A+ content to 50+ ASINs takes forever.

The Manage A+ ASINs sheet lets you change the ASIN associations of your A+ content in bulk. Fill in the store, content reference key and ASINs, then submit with one click.

Manage A+ ASINs columns

  • Store: your store ref (e.g. myStore-AE).
  • Content Reference Key: the A+ content identifier, from List A+ or the Create A+ results.
  • ASINs: one or more ASINs, each on a new line within the cell (e.g. B0XXXXXXXX).
  • Submit Result: filled in with the submission status after you click Revise A+ ASINs.

Revise A+ ASINs

Click Revise A+ ASINs in the Manage A+ ASINs dropdown. It replaces the ASIN set of each existing A+ document with the ASINs in its row and resubmits it for approval — so list every ASIN the content should keep, not only the new ones.

Important: multiple ASINs

To assign several ASINs, enter each ASIN on a separate line within the same cell (use Alt+Enter or Ctrl+Enter in Google Sheets to add a new line within a cell).

Complete workflow

The end-to-end process for creating and publishing A+ Content:

  1. Prepare images — create a folder in Google Drive with your A+ module images.
  2. Fill the Create A+ sheet — set your store, locale, A+ name, content type, image folder and ASINs in the config row. Add content modules row by row and click Load Hints.
  3. Load Images (Drive) — fill the image URLs from Drive.
  4. Create & Submit — submit the A+ content to Amazon for approval.
  5. Check status — use List A+ to verify your content status (APPROVED, DRAFT or REJECTED).
  6. Change ASINs — fill the Manage A+ ASINs sheet with the content reference key and the ASINs, then click Revise A+ ASINs.

Maximizing efficiency

  • Reuse templates: duplicate a Create A+ sheet tab, or load an existing document with Load A+, to create variations for different product lines. Change the A+ name, images and text while keeping the same module structure.
  • Bulk ASIN assignment: apply one A+ content to dozens of ASINs at once — list all ASINs in the cell with line breaks.
  • Google Drive integration: organize your A+ images by product or SKU in Google Drive folders. Load Images (Drive) pulls directly from these folders.
  • Track with List A+: regularly use List A+ to check content approval status across all your stores. Rejected content can be revised and resubmitted.
  • Combine with listings: after publishing A+ Content, manage your product listings (titles, prices, descriptions) with How to Bulk Create & Revise Amazon Listings. Every button of the panel is listed on A+.
