On-demand reports
Request a report straight from Amazon when the synced copy is not enough — create, wait, download — and set up recurring report schedules.
In short
For any report type Amazon offers, your agent asks Amazon to build it, polls until it is done and reads the document. Use it for reports that are not synced, or when you need the very latest data.
Create, wait, download
Ask for the report
reports_createReport submits the request with the report type and date range. Your agent picks the report type from what you describe — "the All Listings report", "Brand Analytics search query performance".
Wait for Amazon
Amazon builds reports in the background, from seconds to many minutes. reports_getReport checks the status and, once it is done, downloads the document.
Reuse what exists
reports_getReports lists reports Amazon already built for the store; reports_cancelReport stops one still in the queue.
Recurring reports
reports_createReportSchedule asks Amazon to build a report on a fixed cadence; reports_getReportSchedules, reports_getReportSchedule and reports_cancelReportSchedule list, read and stop schedules.
Try asking
"Request a fresh inventory report from Amazon."
"Pull the Brand Analytics search query performance report — what's my click share on these terms?"
"Download my latest settlement report."
A request, both ways
MCP — you ask: "Get me a fresh All Listings report." Your agent calls reports_createReport, then reports_getReport until it is done.

Creating or cancelling a recurring schedule changes your seller account's settings, so the store needs write access (see Stay in control). One-off report requests and downloads are reads.
