# How to Create Store Reports in Google Sheets (https://sellersheetai.com/guides/create-store-reports-in-google-sheets)

> Get any Amazon store report into Google Sheets — ask your AI client over SellerSheet MCP, request and download it from the sidebar, or find reports Amazon already generated, like settlements.

Amazon Seller Central offers dozens of report types — inventory, orders, settlement, FBA and more. But getting them into a spreadsheet where you can actually analyze the data? That's where the frustration begins: logging into Seller Central, navigating menus, waiting for reports to generate, downloading CSV files, importing them by hand — and doing it all again tomorrow.

SellerSheet's **Store Reports** removes all of that. It offers distinct workflows, each for a specific seller pain point:

* **Ask your AI client** — describe the report in plain language and let your AI do the create → poll → download cycle over SellerSheet MCP.
* **Create & download reports** — need a specific report right now? Request it from Google Sheets and download the result in one click.
* **Search & download existing reports** — need a settlement report that Amazon generates by itself? Search for it by date range and download it without opening Seller Central.
* **Synced reports** — the reports you need every day are already synced into SellerSheet's report warehouse on a schedule.

## Prerequisites [#prerequisites]

* **Store connected:** your Amazon store is connected under **Settings → Stores & Marketplaces** in the [SellerSheet app](https://sellersheetai.com/home).
* **Sidebar installed:** the SellerSheet add-on is installed in Google Sheets. If not, follow [Install & first sync](/help/sheets/install).

## Using Claude Code + SellerSheet MCP [#using-claude-code--sellersheet-mcp]

Opening Seller Central, navigating menus, waiting for reports, downloading files and importing them into a spreadsheet — every time, for every report. Even with the sidebar, you still click through the steps. What if you could just ask: "Get me the orders report for last week and save it to my Drive"?

With SellerSheet MCP connected to your AI client (Claude Code, Claude Desktop, ChatGPT/Codex, Cursor or any MCP client), you describe what you want in plain language. Your AI runs the whole create → poll → download → analyze cycle — no sidebar clicking.

```text
Get me the Flat File All Orders report for myStore-AE from March 1–7, 2026.
Save it to my Drive and write the link to my Store Reports tracking sheet.
```

Your AI calls these tools in sequence:

* `reports_getReports` — checks the reports Amazon already holds before creating a new one, which saves time on duplicate requests.
* `reports_createReport` — submits the report request to Amazon SP-API and returns the report ID at once; your AI writes it to your tracking sheet with `write_sheet`.
* `reports_getReport` — polls until the report is DONE (1–15 minutes depending on the type) and returns its download link; your AI saves the file to your Drive with `save_url_to_drive`.

  Add the server `https://sellersheetai.com/mcp` to your client: it opens a browser, you sign in to SellerSheet and approve. Clients that cannot do OAuth use an API key from **Settings → API & MCP** as `Authorization: Bearer <key>`. The same tools then work across all your AI workflows — see [MCP & API](/docs/mcp-api).

## How the sidebar works [#how-the-sidebar-works]

Before diving into Store Reports, it helps to know how SellerSheet works in general. Every feature follows the same three-step pattern:

1. **Go to the right sheet** — each feature has its own spreadsheet and sheet tabs. Open the correct one first.
2. **Fill in the colored columns** — **yellow** = required, **light yellow** = optional, **gray** = auto-filled.
3. **Click the sidebar button** — buttons inside a named dropdown only work when you're on the matching sheet tab.

### Button types [#button-types]

* **Sheet-specific (inside a dropdown):** only work on the matching sheet. Example: the buttons inside the "Store Reports" dropdown require you to be on the **Store Reports** sheet.
* **Global (standalone, not inside any dropdown):** work from any sheet of the spreadsheet.

For the full guide — including color coding and tooltips — see [the add-on documentation](/help/sheets).

## Getting started [#getting-started]

The first time, SellerSheet creates a **Store Reports** spreadsheet in your `SellerSheet` Google Drive folder. It contains the sheet tabs **Store Reports**, **Report Lookup** and **Store Report Type** (the list of available report types).

### Opening the Store Reports spreadsheet [#opening-the-store-reports-spreadsheet]

There are two ways to get to your Store Reports spreadsheet:

* **From Google Drive:** open your **SellerSheet** folder in Google Drive, then the **Store Reports** spreadsheet. Launch the sidebar from **Extensions → SellerSheet** and go to the **Store Reports** panel.
* **From the sidebar:** open the sidebar in any Google Sheet, go to the **Store Reports** panel and open the spreadsheet from its **Resources** section — then reopen the sidebar from Extensions.

\[\[TODO: screenshot the SellerSheet sidebar with the Store Reports panel]]

### Starting fresh or recovering deleted resources [#starting-fresh-or-recovering-deleted-resources]

SellerSheet remembers each spreadsheet and folder by its ID. As long as the resource exists, it keeps using it. If a resource is deleted or can't be found, SellerSheet creates a new one and remembers the new ID from then on.

Click **Re-Initiate Resources** in the sidebar. SellerSheet checks every folder, spreadsheet and sheet tab by name — if the exact name is missing, it recreates it from a fresh template. Resources that already exist are left untouched.

* **Want a clean sheet?** Rename the existing sheet tab (e.g. **Store Reports** → **Store Reports - Backup**), then click Re-Initiate Resources. SellerSheet sees the original name as missing and creates a fresh template next to your renamed copy.
* **Want a full backup?** Use **File → Make a copy** to duplicate the whole spreadsheet first, then clear the data in the original. SellerSheet keeps using the original because its ID hasn't changed.
* **Deleted something by accident?** Click the missing item in the sidebar's resources or run Re-Initiate Resources. SellerSheet creates a new resource and remembers it automatically.

## Workflow 1: Create & download reports [#workflow-1-create--download-reports]

You need a specific report — inventory health, order data, FBA fees — but getting it means logging into Seller Central, opening Reports, requesting the report, waiting for it, downloading the CSV and importing it into your spreadsheet. For several reports or several stores, that takes hours.

With SellerSheet, you request any Amazon report and download it straight into a Google Sheet from the **Store Reports** sheet:

### 1. Configure your report rows [#1-configure-your-report-rows]

In the **Store Reports** sheet, from row 4 down, fill in the required columns:

1. **Report Type:** switch to the **Store Report Type** sheet to see all available report types. Copy the exact Report Type you want (e.g. `GET_FBA_MYI_UNSUPPRESSED_INVENTORY_DATA`).
2. **Store:** enter your store ref — the store name plus the country code (e.g. `myStore-US`).
3. **Time frame (optional):** some reports require a date range. Fill in **Data Start Time** and **Data End Time** if needed.

| Color        | Type        | Meaning                                          |
| ------------ | ----------- | ------------------------------------------------ |
| Yellow | Required | Must be filled (Report Type, Store). |
| Light yellow | Optional    | Optional fields (Data Start/End Time).           |
| Gray         | Auto-filled | System-managed (Report ID, Status). Do not edit. |

### 2. Create the report [#2-create-the-report]

Click **Create Reports** in the sidebar. SellerSheet sends the request to Amazon through the SP-API. On success, the **Request Time** and **Report ID** columns fill in automatically. Rows that already have a Report ID are skipped — no duplicates.

### 3. Download the report [#3-download-the-report]

After a moment for Amazon to process the report, click **Get Reports** in the sidebar. SellerSheet checks the status of each Report ID with Amazon:

* **IN_QUEUE / IN_PROGRESS:** Amazon is still preparing the report. Try again in a minute.
* **DONE:** the report is ready. SellerSheet downloads it to `SellerSheet/StoreReports/{Report Name}` in your Drive.
* **CANCELLED:** the report had no data — Amazon cancelled it.
* **FATAL:** error in the request (wrong report type or a missing required time frame).

When the status is **DONE**, the **Sheet URL** and **Folder URL** columns fill in with links to your downloaded report.

<Callout title="Pro tip: bulk requests">
  Fill out several rows at once — different reports, different stores, different date ranges. SellerSheet processes **all valid rows** of the active sheet when you click Create Reports or Get Reports. Request 20 reports in one click instead of one at a time.
</Callout>

For a shorter walkthrough of this workflow with screenshots, see [How to Download Amazon Reports in Google Sheets](/guides/download-amazon-reports-in-google-sheets).

## Workflow 2: Search & download existing reports [#workflow-2-search--download-existing-reports]

Some of the most important reports — like **settlement reports** — are generated by Amazon on a regular schedule. You can't request them yourself. To get a Flat File V2 Settlement Report, you open Seller Central's Payments section, find the settlement period, download the file and import it by hand. With several stores or historical settlement data, that becomes a huge time sink.

The **Report Lookup** sheet searches Amazon for reports that already exist — by type and date range — so you can download them straight into Google Sheets.

### 1. Set your search criteria [#1-set-your-search-criteria]

Go to the **Report Lookup** sheet and fill in the filter row (row 4) with your search parameters:

* **Store:** your store ref (e.g. `myStore-US`).
* **Report Type:** the report type to search for (e.g. `GET_V2_SETTLEMENT_REPORT_DATA_FLAT_FILE_V2`).
* **Created Since** (optional): only show reports created after this date.
* **Created Until** (optional): only show reports created before this date.

### 2. Search for reports [#2-search-for-reports]

With **Report Lookup** as your active sheet, open the sidebar and go to the **Store Reports** panel. Expand the **Report Lookup** dropdown, then click **Search Reports**. SellerSheet asks Amazon for all reports matching your criteria.

### 3. View results and download [#3-view-results-and-download]

Results appear from **row 6** down, showing each report's ID, type, data dates, creation time and processing status. To download a specific report:

1. Copy the **Report ID** from the search results.
2. Go to the **Store Reports** sheet and paste the Report ID into a new row (with the Store).
3. Click **Get Reports** in the sidebar to download it to your Drive.

\[\[TODO: screenshot the Report Lookup sheet with settlement report search results]]

<Callout title="Pro tip: settlement period filtering">
  Amazon generates settlement reports every 14 days. Use the **Created Since** and **Created Until** filters to narrow down to the exact settlement period you need — no more scrolling through dozens of reports in Seller Central.
</Callout>

## Synced reports: no scheduling needed [#synced-reports-no-scheduling-needed]

You need up-to-date data every day — active listings, inventory levels, orders — but requesting the same reports each morning is unsustainable. SellerSheet syncs a set of Amazon reports for every connected store on a schedule, into its report warehouse — see [Data](/docs/data) for the tables. You don't schedule anything in a sheet:

* Your AI client reads the synced rows with `query_report_data`, without calling Amazon again.
* `list_report_syncs` shows each store's sync schedules, so your AI can check the data is fresh before trusting it.

Use the Store Reports sheet for anything the warehouse does not hold, or for a one-off date range.

## Maximizing efficiency with Google Sheets [#maximizing-efficiency-with-google-sheets]

Your report data lands directly in Google Sheets — the most flexible analysis tool for Amazon sellers. To get the most out of it:

* **Bulk requests across stores:** fill several rows with different reports and different store refs. SellerSheet processes them all in one click — ideal for multi-marketplace sellers.
* **Smart duplicate prevention:** rows with an existing Report ID are skipped by Create Reports; rows already marked DONE are skipped by Get Reports. No accidental double downloads.
* **Organized Drive storage:** reports are saved to `SellerSheet/StoreReports/{Report Name}` folders in your Google Drive, neatly categorized.
* **Settlement analysis:** use Search Reports to find settlement data, download it, then use Google Sheets formulas and pivot tables to analyze fees, refunds and net proceeds in one place.

Every button of the panel is listed on [Store Reports](/help/sheets/sellers/store-reports).
