# Install the skills (https://sellersheetai.com/docs/start/skills)

> Skills teach your agent SellerSheet's best practice — the plugin installs them and the MCP server in one step.

The MCP server gives your agent the tools. **Skills** teach it how to use them well: how to build a sheet, run an FBA shipment, query the synced reports, manage Ads, write a Data Kiosk query or make listing images. SellerSheet publishes <Count name="skills" /> of them, installed as one bundle — see the [skills catalog](/docs/skills).

## Claude Code — the plugin [#claude-code--the-plugin]

```text
/plugin marketplace add sellersheetai/sellersheet-skills
/plugin install sellersheet-skills@sellersheet-marketplace
```

This installs the whole skill bundle **and** registers the SellerSheet MCP server. Sign in once: run `/mcp`, pick `sellersheet` and approve in the browser — no API key.

## Codex — the same plugin [#codex--the-same-plugin]

```bash
codex plugin marketplace add sellersheetai/sellersheet-skills
codex plugin add sellersheet-skills@sellersheet-marketplace
codex mcp login sellersheet
```

## CodeBuddy — the same plugin [#codebuddy--the-same-plugin]

Inside a CodeBuddy session:

```text
/plugin marketplace add sellersheetai/sellersheet-skills
/plugin install sellersheet-skills@sellersheet-marketplace
```

Then `/reload-plugins`, and sign in with `/mcp`. Skills appear namespaced, such as `/sellersheet-skills:report-data`.

## WorkBuddy — the connector [#workbuddy--the-connector]

Connecting SellerSheet from WorkBuddy's connector marketplace loads the same skills with it — see [Connect an AI client](/docs/start/clients/workbuddy).

## Claude Desktop [#claude-desktop]

Register the server under **Settings → Connectors** ([steps](/docs/start/clients/claude)), then install the skills:

```bash
bash <(curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/sellersheetai/sellersheet-skills/main/install.sh) --target claude-desktop
```

## Cursor, Gemini CLI and other agents [#cursor-gemini-cli-and-other-agents]

The open `npx skills` installer works across most coding agents:

```bash
npx skills add sellersheetai/sellersheet-skills            # the whole bundle
npx skills add sellersheetai/sellersheet-skills --list     # preview first
npx skills add sellersheetai/sellersheet-skills -a codex   # one specific agent
npx skills add sellersheetai/sellersheet-skills -g         # user level instead of per project
```

No Node.js? Use the install script with `--target <agent>`, or clone the repository and copy its `skills/` folder into your agent's skills directory. Skills installed this way don't connect the server — add it as in [Connect an AI client](/docs/start/clients).

The skills always install together: they share one small companion skill with the common rules (how to start a session, store refs, how to read a result), so a partial install is not supported.

## Keep them up to date [#keep-them-up-to-date]

* **Claude Code / CodeBuddy:** run `/plugin`, open **Marketplaces**, select `sellersheet-marketplace` and choose **Enable auto-update** — third-party marketplaces don't update on their own until you do. Or update on demand: `/plugin marketplace update sellersheet-marketplace`, then `/plugin update sellersheet-skills`.
* **WorkBuddy:** it tells you when a new connector version is approved; update from the connector page.
* **Other agents:** re-run the installer with `--update` (or `--check` to compare).

## Check it [#check-it]

Ask: "Show me my SellerSheet user context." Your agent calls `get_user_context`, which also tells it whether its skills are current.
