Add SellerSheet to Codex with the plugin (skills and server together) or by hand.

## Prerequisites [#prerequisites]

* A SellerSheet account with a connected store — [Connect your store](/docs/start/connect).
* The Codex CLI installed.

## Step 1: Copy the SellerSheet MCP URL [#step-1-copy-the-sellersheet-mcp-url]

## Step 2: Add SellerSheet in Codex [#step-2-add-sellersheet-in-codex]

Plugin (skills and server together):

codex plugin marketplace add sellersheetai/sellersheet-skills
codex plugin add sellersheet-skills@sellersheet-marketplace
codex mcp login sellersheet
```

By hand:

```bash
codex mcp add sellersheet --url https://sellersheetai.com/mcp
codex mcp login sellersheet
```

With a key, `~/.codex/config.toml` takes `http_headers` (not `headers`):

```

## Step 3: Sign in and test [#step-3-sign-in-and-test]

1. `codex mcp login sellersheet` — the last command of either set above — signs you in in the browser.
2. Ask: "Which stores can you see?" Your agent calls `get_user_context` and lists your store refs, such as <StoreRef />, with your plan and each store's status. Every session should start there.

## Troubleshooting [#troubleshooting]

### "Unauthorized" (401) [#unauthorized-401]

Your sign-in or key expired or was deleted. Sign in again, or create a new key.

### The browser never opens [#the-browser-never-opens]

Update the client — older versions don't support MCP sign-in — or use an [API key](/docs/mcp-api/keys).

### "No stores" [#no-stores]

Connect a store first: [Connect your store](/docs/start/connect).

### Tools time out [#tools-time-out]

Some Amazon reports take a minute or two. Raise your client's MCP tool timeout.
