# productPricing_getCompetitivePricing (https://sellersheetai.com/docs/mcp-api/tools/productPricing_getCompetitivePricing)

> Get competitive pricing for up to 20 ASINs or SKUs (Product Pricing v0).

Access: **READ** · toolset amazon_sp · family sp.productPricingV0

Amazon SP-API · getCompetitivePricing · GET /products/pricing/v0/competitivePrice Returns the competitive price (Buy Box price) and number of competing offers. More useful than productPricing_getPricing for understanding market position.

## Call it

MCP tool call:

```json
{
  "name": "productPricing_getCompetitivePricing",
  "arguments": {
    "store": "myStore-US"
  }
}
```

Tool API (early access — contact us):

```bash
curl -X POST https://api.sellersheetai.com/api/v1/tools/productPricing_getCompetitivePricing \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SELLERSHEET_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"store":"myStore-US"}'
```

## Arguments

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `store` | string | yes | the store ref `<store>-<CC>` (name-country, e.g. 'myStore-US') — one of get_user_context's store_refs, verbatim. |
| `asins` | object[] | | List of up to 20 ASINs. Use this OR skus, not both. |
| `skus` | object[] | | List of up to 20 seller SKUs. Use this OR asins, not both. |
| `customerType` | string | | whose point of view the prices are from — consumer or business buyers. Omit for Amazon's default (Consumer). Allowed: Consumer \| Business. Allowed: Consumer \| Business. |

## Result

- `notification.type` — 'warning' when data.failed is non-empty, else 'success'.
- `data.pricing` — list of pricing objects, each with: - ASIN or SellerSKU - Product.CompetitivePricing.CompetitivePrices: list of competitive prices - Product.CompetitivePricing.NumberOfOfferListings: offer count by condition - Product.CompetitivePricing.TradeInValue (if applicable)
- `data.ok` — identifiers Amazon returned a product for.
- `data.failed` — [{identifier, status, reason}] for identifiers Amazon did NOT resolve. Amazon answers HTTP 200 even for a bad ASIN — it comes back as status='ClientError', as a "successful" item with no Product body, or with no envelope at all (status='NoResponse'). Either way it lands here and notification.type is 'warning', not 'success'. Never read a missing competitive price as "no competitors" without checking data.failed first.

## Workflow

- 1. Call productPricing_getCompetitivePricing in batches of up to 20. 2. Compare against your current prices to identify repricing opportunities.
