# listings_deleteListingsItem (https://sellersheetai.com/docs/mcp-api/tools/listings_deleteListingsItem)

> Delete this seller's listing for a SKU (offer and submitted attributes); the ASIN's catalog page stays.

Access: **DESTRUCTIVE** · toolset amazon_sp · family sp.listingsItems_2021-08-01

Amazon SP-API · deleteListingsItem · DELETE /listings/2021-08-01/items/{sellerId}/{sku} Gate: commit — interactive: restate exactly what will happen, wait for a typed CONFIRM; autopilot: only within the seller's instruction and stated limits; otherwise ask. Account types: Seller Central + Vendor Central (vendors pass seller_id) Amazon queues the deletion (status ACCEPTED); it cannot be undone except by re-creating the listing with listings_putListingsItem. Verify the SKU with listings_getListingsItem first. FBA stock is untouched — remove it with a removal order.

## Call it

MCP tool call:

```json
{
  "name": "listings_deleteListingsItem",
  "arguments": {
    "store": "myStore-US",
    "sku": "<sku>"
  }
}
```

Tool API (early access — contact us):

```bash
curl -X POST https://api.sellersheetai.com/api/v1/tools/listings_deleteListingsItem \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SELLERSHEET_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"store":"myStore-US","sku":"<sku>"}'
```

## Arguments

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `store` | string | yes | the store ref `<store>-<CC>` (name-country, e.g. 'myStore-US') — one of get_user_context's store_refs, verbatim. |
| `sku` | string | yes | Merchant SKU (msku) to delete. |
| `issue_locale` | string |  | locale of Amazon's issue messages (e.g. 'en_US'); defaults to the marketplace's primary language. |
| `seller_id` | string | | Vendor Central accounts ONLY — pass your vendor code (e.g. 'ABCDE' from vendorOrders_getPurchaseOrders → orderDetails.sellingParty.partyId). Vendors may hold multiple codes across marketplaces/warehouses; pick the one for the marketplace you need. Do not pass this for Seller Central — the merchant token is used automatically. |

## Result

- `data.status` — ACCEPTED (queued), or INVALID with data.issues [{code, message, severity}].
- `data.submissionId` — this submission.
