, ad-group or campaign level); there is no separate keywords entity in v1. Amazon Ads API · UpdateTarget · POST /adsApi/v1/update/targets Docs: https://advertising.amazon.com/API/docs/en-us/api-spec-v1-targets#tag/Targets/operation/UpdateTarget Gate: approve — interactive: show the change (Amazon's preview first where one exists), wait for an explicit approve; autopilot: only when the seller's own words asked for this change; otherwise ask.

## Call it

MCP tool call:

```json
{
  "name": "ads_update_target",
  "arguments": {
    "store": "myStore-US",
    "countryCode": "<countryCode>",
    "body": "<body>"
  }
}
```

Tool API (early access — contact us):

```bash
curl -X POST https://api.sellersheetai.com/api/v1/tools/ads_update_target \
  -H "Authorization: Bearer $SELLERSHEET_API_KEY" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -d '{"store":"myStore-US","countryCode":"<countryCode>","body":"<body>"}'
```

## Arguments

| Name | Type | Required | Description |
|---|---|---|---|
| `store` | string | yes | the store ref `<store>-<CC>` (name-country, e.g. 'myStore-US') — one of get_user_context's store_refs, verbatim. |
| `countryCode` | string | yes | the Ads profile's 2-letter country code (e.g. 'US'). |
| `body` | object[] \| object | yes | list of {targetId*, state?, bid?: {bid: <amount>}} (or {targets: [...]}) — bid wraps the number; for a single bid change use ads_update_target_bid. |

## Result

- 207 {success, partialSuccess, error}. HTTP success does not mean every item succeeded; read error[] by index.
- `data.result.success[].target` — each changed target; index is its position in your list — error[] items were not changed.

## Gotchas

- Keyword text, match type, targetType and negative cannot be updated (TargetUpdate has no top-level targetDetails or negative; only a per-marketplace override for GLOBAL campaigns) — archive with ads_delete_target and create the new target.
- AMAZON_DSP targets cannot be updated (Amazon has no DSP UpdateTarget), so state is ENABLED or PAUSED — DRAFT and PROPOSED are DSP values.
